Michael Comeau is the firm’s Technical Principal, and maintains a detailed knowledge and understanding of the changing requirements of accounting and auditing.
Through the firm’s Technical Committee, he communicates technical developments in a wide range of areas, and advises when difficulties of interpretation arise. He is also the principal author of the firm’s accounting layouts and audit procedures.
He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales’s Audit and Assurance and Financial Reporting Faculties and a member of its Special Interest Group for charities.
In professional consultations, he reflects the view of the medium-sized entity. This is often missed in proposals put forward in the context of publicly owned companies, or alternatively of very small companies.
