I look after a number of audit clients, as well as the firm’s fast expanding back office service division, HW Fisher Business Solutions.
My audit clients are mostly SMEs with annual turnover varying from £5m to more than £100m, across a whole range of sectors – manufacturing, wholesale and distribution, importing, retail, creative, catering and hospitality, entertainment, property, service sectors and a number of others.
I interact with my clients on a regular basis and provide a hands-on service where appropriate. I also get involved in advising on re-structuring, mergers and acquisition matters.
I act for overseas companies wishing to invest in the UK (especially from India, East Africa and South Africa) and look after all their UK interests, dealing with all accounts, tax and audit matters of their subsidiaries and business interests here.
The business solutions division takes care of all day-to-day accounting requirements for a wide range of business sectors, using cloud-based accounting and processing systems, including providing bespoke management reporting services on an ongoing basis.
I qualified as a chartered accountant in 1975 and was a partner in a practice which joined HW Fisher in 2001.
