14th May 2021Introducing Stevie Heafford, Tax Partner

Stevie recently joined our tax team and brings a wide range of tax experience, including in trusts and estates, personal and corporate tax matters . Stevie will be working with owner managed business and high net worth individuals to provide high quality tax advice.

Stevie shares why she’s passionate about working with clients to help them achieve their wealth objectives, the best piece of advice she’s ever received and why it’s never too early for an exit strategy…

What area do you currently specialise in? Tell us what your work involves.

Private Client Tax planning – I work with individuals to help them achieve their overall wealth objectives by understanding their goals and considering all their assets.  Clients’ needs may change over time so its also necessary to be flexible!

Tell us about some of the top trends you have been following in the past year – is there something that businesses should be aware of?

It’s never too early to have an exit strategy!

What has been the greatest lesson you have learned working with clients through Covid-19?

The importance of cashflow – you can have the most profitable business on paper but, if you run out of cash, you can’t continue.

What is one piece of advice you would give to clients at the moment?

Take care of the cash!

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?

Don’t sweat the small stuff

Outside of work, what would you be doing?

Walking, cycling, spending time with friends (lockdown rules permitting).  I enjoy film/comic conventions as well as the theatre and hope to be doing more of this when things get back to normal.
